Troika: Borrowed Light
Barbican
Contemporary art group Troika’s latest installation at Barbican draws artistic beauty into an accessible space, blurring existing divisions between normal life and the often out of reach artworld. The multi level instalment displays light reactive film that reaches from Barbican’s ground floor to the roof. Vivid sunset colours are intended to evoke questions around natural and human made forms, whilst a continually shifting colour spectrum — altering as one moves position — conjures ideas of experience and impermanence. We find Troika’s artworks beautiful and profoundly accessible, allowing space for viewers to interpret the work in their own way.
We found this exhibition inspiring, particularly for our Design Sphere. Read more about the Spheres here.
