Gabriel Dawe

Born in Mexico, Gabriel Dawe is an artist living and working in Texas. His outstanding work explores colour spectrums through three dimensional, sculptural installations. Of particular note are Dawe’s large-scale thread works, in which he uses sewing thread to form flowing bursts of colour, giving the illusion of a natural rainbow. The sense of contrast between Dawe’s installations and the architecture they sit within furthers the artwork’s impact. The intricate yet simple effect of Dawe’s work is uplifting and beautiful.
