Dior: Designer of Dreams
The Victoria & Albert Museum
The Victoria and Albert Museum’s Dior: Designer of Dreams is a compelling exhibition, exploring how the characteristics of craft, detail, and beauty have been reimagined by each of the House’s seven Creative Directors. On display until September 2019, the exhibition guides its audience through time, celebrating 200 pieces from the couturier’s 1947 inception to present day. Of particular note is the apparent reinterpretation of garments and styles across decades of the House of Dior — an approach triumphantly practiced by Raf Simons as Creative Director. This retrospective is a true inspiration, embodying classic and contemporary design ideals.
We found this exhibition inspiring, particularly for our Design Sphere. Read more about the Spheres here.
